On Thursday 16th March, KS2 took part in the ‘5 Star Disability Sports Challenge.’ This is an education project developed by Disability Sport NI, to raise children’s awareness and understanding of disability sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, following the recent London 2012 Games and RIO 2016 Games. The children watched a presentation about this and three lucky classes got to take part in the practical sessions afterwards. Great fun was had playing Goal-Ball, Wheelchair Basketball, Boccia, New age Curling and wheelchair cycling. Thanks to Mark and Sam at Disability Sport N.I for a very enjoyable morning.
