We said a fond farewell to Jim our lollipop man on Friday,12th February. The children in P2/3 were very excited to dedicate their assembly to Jim for this very special occasion. Jim has been the lollipop man on the Academy Road for the past number of years. He officially retired at Christmas but his retirement was marked at the Model just before half term. The assembly theme was "Keeping Safe from Danger . The Primary 2 children showed us how to cross the road safely. The Primary 3 children wrote poems talking fondly of their memories of Jim. They wanted to thank him for looking after them. They sang a song to Jim and made lollipop signs . Jim was given a presentation on behalf of the parents and children.
