Last Thursday morning, 20th November, close family and friends of the late Valerie Moore joined us for the official opening of 'The Valerie Moore Library'. This special space has been named in honour of Valerie Moore, a much-loved former Nursery Assistant who, even after retiring, continued to volunteer in school to help pupils develop a love of reading. Valerie was cherished by pupils, staff and parents/carers alike. Her kindness and genuine care for every child made a lasting impact on our school community.
The Valerie Moore Library celebrates her legacy by creating a welcoming, inspiring place where every pupil can discover the joy of books, just as Valerie encourage them to do so. A special plaque is placed above the door, and a 'reading chair' sits pride of place for pupils and staff to use. We hope to celebrate Valerie's memory for years to come here.
